Pioneros de la escena electro en México.
La historia de Artefakto se puede retomar desde 1987, cuando Roberto Mendoza, Jorge Ruiz y Javier Modelevsky forman una agrupación que culmina con el albúm «Síntesis».
Para 1991 Modelevsky sale del grupo uniendose al proyecto Pepe Mogt. Fue en este mismo año cuando conocen a Sascha Konietzko líder del grupo alemán KMFDM quien acepta trabajar en la producción de sus primeros tracks y los invita a Chicago donde empezarian las bases de su primer albúm «Des-construcción», disco que no veria su salida hasta 1993 en México (Opción Sónica) y 1994 en Alemania (Zoth Ommog).

Durante su estancia en Chicago viene una oferta para pertenecer al sello Wax Trax pero por las condiciones impuestas no aceptarian.

Durante los siguientes años Artefakto se presentaria en vivo por diferentes ciudades principalmente de México y Estados Unidos, grabando dos albums mas «Tierra electrica» en 1995 e «Interruptor» en 1997 ganando excelentes criticas en la prensa escrita, electrónica y la radio mexicana e internacional. En 1996 durante la grabación de Interruptor y cansados un poco de seguir una corriente musical por tantos años empezarian proyectos alternos como Fussible el cual terminaria siendo el grupo principal y donde se conceptualizaria el proyecto de Nortec. En 1999 Roberto saldria de Fussible concentrandose en Panóptica y asi Artefakto quedaria a un lado no sin antes dejar huella en el rock mexicano y sobre todo en la escena electrónica nacional de México.

Hoy Roberto y Pepe han vuelto a trabajar juntos en un nuevo proyecto llamado Desierto al lado de David J (Bauhaus-Love and Rockets), producciones del Colectivo Nortec, Mil records y planes para lanzar trabajos de Artefakto en un futuro no muy lejano.

Celldweller

Celldweller es un grupo de Detroit, Estados Unidos. Fundado por Klayton (antiguo compositor y miembro de la banda Circle of Dust en los años 1990) con una fusión de drum & bass, techno y trance además con sonidos de metal, lo que le da tintes agresivos y rítmicos siendo la única variante su guitarra distorsionada y voces guturales o a veces melódicas, se distingue de otras bandas como "assemblage 23", "Collide", "NIN" gracias a su música basada en instrumentos electrónicos e instrumentos base como la guitarra (overdrived),coros femeninos, sonidos orgánicos y fuertes cambios del estado de ánimo que representa su música al igual que otras bandas como "Angeldust" o el mismo "Criss Angel" que ha trabajado en conjunto con Celldweller para la edición de "Mindfreak sountrack".

Es originalmente una banda de una sola persona, siendo Klayton quien escribe toda la música y se encarga de la mayoría de la vocalización e instrumentalización en estudios de grabación। Sin embargo, también toca en vivo formado por Klayton (vocales, guitarra, teclado, percusiones, programación), Dale Van Norman (guitarra, teclado, percusiones, vocales de apoyo), Kemikal (bajo, guitarra, teclado, percusiones, vocales de apoyo), y Caise (batería y percusiones)
